Price Increase

Good afternoon class, today I will be talking about how Nike and the Jordan Brand has increased their prices on shoes.

In 2012 a Jordan shoe called White Cement 4 came out with a limited amount. The retail prcie was $160.
As you can see this shoe has the Joran "Jumpman" logo on the back heel tab.

On February 13, 2016 the same shoe was released but was retailed at $220!

As you can see the only diffrence with this shoe is that it has a Nike Air logo on the heel tab.

The price jumped up $60! Nike and Jordan are increasing the price on there newer releases because they are producing more shoes, which means people are able to buy the shoe without it selling out so fast. Also the Nike Air tab hasn't been on this shoe since it's release in 1999, but the 2016 release is suppose to be a replica of when this shoe first originally came out in 1989.

Nike and Jordan are increasing the price but are increasing the amount of shoes being produced. It's a win/lose situation, but any sneakerhead would gladly pay the price if it means they don't have to wait in line or camp outside for it.
